ABOUT BELLWETHER ACTION
Bellwether Action is a federal independent-expenditure-only political committee, commonly known as a Super PAC.
Bellwether Action operates independently and is not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.
Bellwether Action may engage in lawful political advocacy, independent expenditures, fundraising, voter outreach, research, public education, communications, and other activities consistent with its mission and applicable law.
INDEPENDENCE AND NON-AUTHORIZATION
Bellwether Action does not make contributions to federal candidates or their authorized committees.
When Bellwether Action makes an independent expenditure, it does so independently and subject to applicable federal requirements governing independent political activity.
Bellwether Action’s support for, opposition to, discussion of, or endorsement of a candidate or public official does not mean that the candidate, official, campaign, or committee requested, authorized, approved, or participated in Bellwether Action’s communication or activity.
Likewise, the mere reference to a candidate, public official, political party, organization, business, or other person or entity does not, by itself, imply endorsement, sponsorship, affiliation, authorization, or approval by either Bellwether Action or the referenced party.
EDITORIAL POSITIONS, ENDORSEMENTS, AND ATTRIBUTION
Unless otherwise indicated, editorial positions, endorsements, commentary, analysis, and other institutional statements published by Bellwether Action reflect the views of Bellwether Action.
Statements and opinions expressly attributed to an individual author, speaker, organization, publication, or other third party reflect the views of the identified source and do not necessarily reflect the views of Bellwether Action.
Quoting, discussing, linking to, or displaying statements or materials from a third party does not imply that the third party has authorized, approved, sponsored, or endorsed Bellwether Action or its communications.
Bellwether Action may discuss allegations, investigations, litigation, public records, reporting, and other matters of public concern. A person’s appearance in a public record, report, filing, investigation, or other source does not, by itself, establish wrongdoing. Bellwether Action seeks to distinguish factual findings from allegations, claims, commentary, and opinion where that distinction is relevant.
CONTRIBUTIONS
Bellwether Action may solicit and accept unlimited contributions from individuals, corporations, labor organizations, and other political committees as permitted by federal law.
Federal law prohibits Bellwether Action from accepting contributions from foreign nationals, federal government contractors, national banks, and federally chartered corporations. Contributions made in the name of another person are also prohibited.
Bellwether Action may request information, documentation, and certifications reasonably necessary to determine contribution eligibility, process contributions, maintain required records, and comply with federal law.
Contribution pages and solicitations may contain additional eligibility certifications, disclosures, notices, or other requirements. Those requirements are incorporated into the applicable contribution process and should be reviewed before contributing.
Bellwether Action reserves the right to decline, reject, return, or refund a contribution when appropriate or necessary to comply with applicable law or Bellwether Action’s policies.
If a contributor authorizes a recurring contribution, the contribution will be processed according to the frequency and terms disclosed at the time of authorization until the recurring authorization is canceled or otherwise ends.
RECORDKEEPING AND PUBLIC DISCLOSURE
As a federal political committee, Bellwether Action maintains records and files reports with the Federal Election Commission as required by law.
Federal law requires political committees to use their best efforts to obtain, maintain, and report certain identifying information about individual contributors whose contributions exceed applicable reporting thresholds. For federal PACs, this includes the name, mailing address, occupation, and employer of individuals whose aggregate contributions exceed $200 in a calendar year.
Information required to be reported to the Federal Election Commission becomes part of the public record.
Bellwether Action’s Privacy Policy governs its collection, use, retention, and handling of personal information except where disclosure, retention, or other treatment is required by law.
TAX TREATMENT
Contributions to Bellwether Action are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.

POLITICAL COMMUNICATIONS AND DISCLAIMERS
Bellwether Action complies with applicable disclaimer, disclosure, and reporting requirements governing its political communications, solicitations, advertisements, independent expenditures, and related activities.
Communications paid for by Bellwether Action will include payor identification, non-authorization language, and any other disclaimer information when and as required by applicable law.
Bellwether Action’s publicly accessible website carries the applicable political committee disclaimer.
Nothing in this Legal Notice replaces, limits, or modifies any disclaimer, disclosure, filing, or other notice required for a particular communication, solicitation, advertisement, or expenditure.

Bellwether Action provides this website for informational, organizational, advocacy, fundraising, and related political purposes.
Bellwether Action seeks to provide accurate and useful information, but political, electoral, legal, regulatory, and factual circumstances may change over time. Content may therefore become outdated after publication.
Dates appearing on articles, statements, notices, and other materials should be considered when evaluating the context in which the material was published.
