ABOUT BELLWETHER ACTION
Bellwether Action is a federal independent-expenditure-only political committee, commonly known as a Super PAC.
Bellwether Action operates independently and is not authorized by any candidate or candidate’s committee.
Bellwether Action may engage in lawful political advocacy, independent political activity, fundraising, voter outreach, research, communications, and other activities consistent with its mission and applicable law.
INDEPENDENCE
Bellwether Action does not make contributions to federal candidates or their authorized committees and conducts its political spending subject to applicable federal requirements governing independent political activity.
References to or discussion of any candidate, public official, political party, organization, business, or other person or entity do not, by themselves, imply authorization, coordination, sponsorship, endorsement, affiliation, or approval.
CONTRIBUTIONS
Bellwether Action may solicit and accept unlimited contributions from individuals, corporations, labor organizations, and other political committees as permitted by federal law.
Federal law prohibits Bellwether Action from accepting contributions from foreign nationals, federal government contractors, national banks, and federally chartered corporations. Contributions made in the name of another person are also prohibited.
Bellwether Action may request information and certifications necessary to determine eligibility, process contributions, maintain required records, and satisfy applicable reporting and compliance obligations.
Contribution pages may contain additional certifications, notices, or requirements applicable to a contribution. Contributors are responsible for providing accurate information and satisfying applicable eligibility requirements.
Bellwether Action reserves the right to decline, reject, or refund a contribution when appropriate or necessary to comply with applicable law or Bellwether Action’s policies.
RECORDKEEPING AND PUBLIC DISCLOSURE
As a federal political committee, Bellwether Action maintains records and files reports with the Federal Election Commission as required by law.
Certain information concerning contributions and contributors must be reported to the FEC when applicable. Information reported to the FEC becomes part of the public record.
Bellwether Action’s collection, use, retention, and disclosure of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.
TAX TREATMENT
Contributions to Bellwether Action are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
