Federal law requires Bellwether Action to collect and maintain certain information concerning contributions and, when applicable, report contributor information to the Federal Election Commission. Information reported to the FEC becomes part of the public record.

COOKIES, ANALYTICS, AND ADVERTISING TECHNOLOGIES

Bellwether Action and service providers working on our behalf may use cookies, pixels, tags, analytics tools, and similar technologies in connection with our digital services.

These technologies may be used to operate and secure our services, remember preferences, understand how visitors interact with our content, measure communications and campaigns, improve performance, and evaluate the effectiveness of outreach and advertising.

Bellwether Action may also use advertising platforms and related technologies to reach audiences who may be interested in our work, measure advertising performance, and, where permitted by applicable law, deliver or help deliver advertising based on interactions with our digital services or other information.

In connection with these activities, certain information—such as device or browser identifiers, IP address, website interactions, pages viewed, referral information, and similar technical or usage information—may be processed by advertising or analytics providers.

Bellwether Action does not authorize these activities as a means of selling, renting, or trading our donor or supporter lists to third parties for their independent marketing or fundraising purposes.

Some jurisdictions may define certain disclosures involving targeted or cross-context behavioral advertising as a “sale,” “sharing,” or similar activity even where no money is exchanged. Where applicable law provides rights to opt out of such processing, Bellwether Action will provide or honor applicable choices as required by law.

Your browser or device may also provide controls that allow you to limit certain cookies or similar technologies. Where applicable, our digital services may provide additional controls regarding non-essential cookies or advertising technologies.

Limiting these technologies may affect the operation of some features.

These providers may support functions such as payment processing, website hosting, communications, analytics, data services, technology, security, accounting, and legal or campaign-finance compliance.

Bellwether Action seeks to use service providers whose applicable terms, agreements, or obligations provide for appropriate handling of personal information in connection with the services they perform for us.

Providing personal information to a service provider for these purposes does not authorize that provider to sell, rent, or trade Bellwether Action’s personal information for its independent marketing or fundraising purposes.

When required by applicable law, campaign-finance reporting requirements, court order, subpoena, or other valid legal process;

When reasonably necessary to investigate or prevent fraud, abuse, security threats, or unlawful activity;
